Agenda:

Discussion: Challenges and successes in the K-12 classrooms

View professional video for ESL and mainstream teachers of ELL in elementary grades

Whole Group Activities:

  • Activity 1: Turn - talk - share -- participants will write the most important key strategies and discussion points on chart paper and share at the end of the presentation.

  • Activity 2: Participants are asked to:
    1. Compare the identified key strategies presented in the video to the strategies they use in their own teaching
    2. Develop a lesson to implement important new strategies learned
    3. Whole group share - out
