Anna Ciriani Dean
Anna Ciriani Dean
  New York City Region

Anna Ciriani Dean began her career language education working as an ESL, French, and Italian tutor in Dickinson College’s Multilingual Writing Center in 2011. She subsequently worked as an English teaching assistant in France and has been employed as an ELL assessment developer at Educational Testing Service since 2013. Her involvement in NYS TESOL began in 2015, when she first volunteered for the Applied Linguistics Winter Conference (ALWC) as a student at Teachers College. She served as Registration Chair for ALWC 2016 and as On-Site Registration Chair for the NYS TESOL 2016 Annual Conference. She is projected to graduate with an M.A. in Applied Linguistics in May 2017 and plans to pursue further opportunities in language assessment and teaching.

Serving on the ALWC and NYS TESOL conference committees has allowed Anna to expand her professional network, deepen her knowledge of language education, and learn the nuts and bolts of bringing a conference to fruition. Working and connecting with so many talented individuals has truly been an enriching experience!

Check out our wonderful annual awards and nominate a colleague this year !
