Who belongs to NYS TESOL?

Teachers, administrators, university students, paraprofessionals, and consultants with diverse educational interests that make up this professional organization. They represent all regions of New York State, all levels of instruction, and all Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

What does NYS TESOL membership include?

1. Idiom, a quarterly publication, featuring articles on current techniques, research, book reviews, and announcements.

2. Notification of Events: (a) Annual statewide conference, (b) ODMACs (one-day mini-area conferences) and other regional events, and (c) SIG (special interest group) events.

3. Professional Discounts on registration fees at the annual conference and ODMACs and on promotional items and publications.

4. Mailings of complimentary information from publishers, including catalogs and announcements of new products.


How to apply for new membership

There are now two ways to become a new member.

A prospective member eligible for a student discount should obtain endorsement from their faculty members (either academic advisor or course instructor) on their application form.

How to renew your membership

Please renew your membership according to the instructions. Notification will be sent a few months in advance before your membershop expires.

If you have changes your status (change of address, etc.), please contact the business manager at businessmanager@nystesol.org. For all other membership questions, please contact the membership chairperson at membership@nystesol.org.
